Orangevale Rotary Club was one of the first clubs in District 519 to
include women in our membership. Sandra Alvas was inducted into our
club in 1987. We presently have fifteen women members. Five have served
on the Board of Directors, and one is presently editor of our outstanding
bulletin. Our first woman president, Pat Surra, was installed July 1,
1996. Our second woman president, Betty Olson, was installed July 1,
1998. Our third woman president, Jane Wise, was installed on June 24,
2000.
Our fourth woman president, Lorie Rheams, was installed on July 1, 2003.
Karis Walmer, was installed on July 1, 2004 as our fifth women President.
