Each year at the Rotary District 5180 Conference, outstanding clubs and projects are recognized. In 2006 Orangevale Rotary was named the Most Outstanding Club in the district (34 clubs). The club achieved this distinction as a result of its strong performance in Community Service (first place among medium-size clubs), Vocational Service (first place among medium-size clubs, and International Service (second place among medium-size clubs).

This is the fifth time in ten years that the Orangevale Rotary has been recognized in District 5180 (34 clubs in northern California) as the Most Outstanding Club of the year. The club has been recognized each year for the last six years as the Medium-Size Club of Excellence.
