Women in Rotary

Through the years, our club has had some difficulty in finding a good dependable meeting place; it seems that a "curse" went with us to each new location. A review of some of our meeting places is as follows:

60's       Orangevale Cafe, Greenback Lane, near Black Stallion
60's       Golden Dragon, Greenback Lane, next to the Pink Pussycat (raided by the sheriff)
60's       Italian Restaurant, Madison Mall, near Raley's
60's       Wild Rose Cafe, Folsom (went bankrupt)
60's       Tony's Greasy Spoon, Greenback (went belly-up)
60's       Orangevale Youth Center (catered lunch)
70's       Shakey's Pizza, Greenback Lane (now Ragan 's Irish Pub)
70's       Hacienda Cafe, Folsom (just one meeting and out of business)
70's       Jo & Dodie's, Folsom (We all went to the noon meeting, only to find the doors                   locked, with an "Out of Business" sign.)
70's       Whispering Pines, Auburn Folsom Rd. (lasted six or seven years)
70's       Mexican Jo's, Greenback Lane
70's       Liberty House, Birdcage (what was Macy's upstairs)
70's       Golden Tee, Sunrise north of Greenback
80's       Black Angus, Greenback Lane
80's       White House Inn, Greenback Lane (now Country Table)
80's       L.W. Calder's, Greenback Lane (formerly White House)
80's       Garry's Family Grill, Greenback Lane across from Cable Shopping (They stopped                   serving breakfast and later went out of business.)
80's       Roundtable Pizza, Madison Ave.
80's       Carrow's, Greenback Lane (lasted five or six years)
90' s      Shoney's, Greenback Lane (two years before they folded)
90' s      La Placita, Greenback Lane (present location, over 10 years)
