Cross Country Track at Louis Pastuer Middle School

In May of 2001 the Orangevale Rotary completed another major project for the Community. The Orangevale Club completed construction on a 2/3 mile cross country track around the parameter of the athlete fields of Louis Pastuer Middle School in Orangevale.

The project involved excavating over 400 cubic years of dirt. Install over 1 1/3 miles of header board and reinstall 400 cubic yards of decomposed granite . The track took over 800 man hours with the entire project costing over $30,000.

The completed track was dedicated in November 2001 in honor of former Rotarian Joe Surra. The track provides school children a save environment for exercising.
