This year the club presented an award to the Business of the year. This was advertised in the Orangevale News as well as the Orange Peel. Recommendations were made but the Vocational committee had to decide on only one. That award went to St. Patrick's Assisted Living, located on Santa Juanita in Orangevale and owned and operated by our own Ed Baltazar. Together with his wife Loy, they take care of Senior Citizens who suffer from debilitating mental illnesses.

In addition to take care of their residents, they also work to build strong bonds with their employees by offering advanced training and love and support as needed.

Ed works hard at what he does. It is like being a parent on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week taking care of people who simply cannot take care of themselves.

Many of us have visited Ed's place at Christmas time when the residents are presented Christmas stocking.
